Report an Incident

If you wish to report a Cyber Security incident, who you need to contact depends on your affiliation to Georgia Tech:

Students
Current Georgia Tech students should contact the OIT Technology Support Center (TSC). If you live in on-campus housing, you may also try contacting Wreck Techs.

Faculty & Staff
Georgia Tech faculty and staff should first try contacting their departmental Computer Support Representative (CSR). If the incident is urgent and your CSR is unavailable, you should contact the Security Operations Center (SOC) at 404.385.CYBR (2927) or soc@security.gatech.edu.

and one of our team members will get back in touch with you soon. If the nature of the incident is sensitive and/or urgent, you can contact the Security Operations Center (SOC) at 404.385.CYBR (2927).

Regardless of your affiliation, if you, your account, or your computer is the subject of an incident, report the incident using the instructions above, and until you are able to get in touch with a support/security representative, it is very important that you:

  • Do not attempt to investigate or remediate the compromise on your own
  • Instruct any users to stop work on the system immediately
  • Do not power down the machine
